About BAALA VIDYALAYA MATRICULATION HIGHER SECONDARY SCHOOL

BAALA VIDYALAYA MATRICULATION HIGHER SECONDARY SCHOOL was inaugurated on 6th June 1985, in the academic year 1985-86 by Smt. Usha a trained teacher with 14 years experience.

The objective of the school was to establish basic facilities to cater to the educational needs for the occupants of Manali New Town developed under Chennai – CMDA plan.

The school was started during the academic year 1985-86 grown over the years and become Primary school in the year 1990-91. Due to continuous request of parents, we started sixth standard in the academic year 1992 -93.

The school was recognised by the Directorate of Matriculation in the academic year 1993-94 and the school introduced Tenth standard in the academic year 1997-98. The school was first approved for Public Exam in the academic year 1998-99. The school was able to show 100% results two times in the last eight years.

The school aims to groom the students in the area of Academic excellence, Self confidence, Sports & Culture and various extra-curricular activities. The school aims to produce students who will become good citizen of INDIA..

The Principal has two decades experience in running the school. She is ably supported by the staff and other teachers. The correspondent of the school Mr. B. Gnanam  is a Post Graduate in Engineering, MS(Systems and Information). He is a HRD professional. He was trained in Germany and Japan.

The school is catering to the needs of downtrodden people of the society in Manali New Town area. We have poor students in our student rolls. We continue to give education to poor students who are unable to pay fees. the fees charged are very minimum affordable by poor in the near by villagers.

While serving the area of Manali New town which has lot of working class population, whose average monthly income is around Rs.5000 this school, is able to satisfy their family needs of providing education to their children’s.

As our former President Shri APJ Abdul Kalam used to say that today’s children’s are the future of our country, this school wants to provide good education to all students who came to this school from the lower strata of society. Education to all is the new mantra of the government of INDIA. This school aims to provide good quality education to all students even though they hail from poor families.
